Y’know, Dirk’s a verbose little shit, and Francis was a kid when he went into the coma. Wouldn’t have been able to read a dictionary in a coma, nor would he have access to one not written by himself in Wendimoor. I wonder what meanings some of Dirk’s fancy words have there, now?
