Got around to grabbing a copy of Loki: Agent of Asgard no. 1. (First comic I’ve ever bought, what a fucking nerd). It was really cool! On first pass, it’s a standard redemption narrative but it’s actually pretty blatantly about being queer (and if the author’s earlier comments about Loki being genderfluid are to be believed, then about being trans!)

A little disappointing that it’s not explicitly stated in the first issue that it’s about that, but the editor’s note at the end says as much without using the words.

Anyway, reading it and reading the editor’s note made me a little teary because i have a lot of non-binary Loki feels.

It works as fan-service, too, because they’re cute in a way that’s not manly man power fantasy.

Does anyone know if the author is actually gay?
