kavesinisukka:

English: It fits like a glove.
Spanish: It fits like a ring on the finger.
Italian: It fits like shoes painted on with a brush.

Finnish: It fits like  a . FiST.   iN.   the  EYe .   (ง’̀-‘́)ง

Since this is making the rounds again:

1. Yes I’m aware that the Italian translation is incorrect and I’m sorry. It’s more ‘like it was painted on’

2. The French one ‘fits like dad into mom’ is kind of disturbing.

3. Multiple (Eastern) European languages have something similar with the Finnish version, but the meaning being that something does not fit at all. Apparently the Germans use the phrase in both senses, and I’m guessing Finns being the idiots we are just run with the sarcastic version, only to use it somewhat non-sarcastically.
