a/n: so I’m really into Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency atm because my best friend told me to watch it and now I love it. And as always, I have an OTP and as always it’s a gay one. Imagine 1 – “Why are you always the big spoon?”
It was late and Todd finally got home. He’d been at a concert with Amanda. It was amazing and he wish he could’ve stayed longer, but he promised Dirk he’d be home on time. And knowing Dirk would be upset if he was late, Todd went home earlier than Amanda. Todd unlocked the door of the apartment as quietly as he could because he knew Dirk would probably be asleep. Todd took off his shoes and put his keys and phone on the table in the kitchen. He walked to the bedroom and carefully opened the door, hoping he wouldn’t wake Dirk. Todd looked around the corner of the door to see Dirk sleeping in the bed. Todd smiled by the sight of his sleeping boyfriend. He was so lucky to have Dirk. He put on his pyjama and laid down next to Dirk, moving closer to him and wrapping his arms around Dirk. Dirk smiled and mumbled ‘How was the concert?’ ‘Amazing. Did I wake you?’ Todd answered. ‘No I was waiting for you to come home but I fell asleep.’ Dirk said. ‘That’s sweet.’ said Todd and he kissed Dirk on his cheek which made Dirk smile. ‘Can I ask you something?’ said Dirk. ‘Sure.’ said Todd. ‘Why are you always the big spoon?’ said Dirk and Todd laughed. ‘No I’m serious.’ said Dirk. ‘I’m the big spoon because it makes me feel like I can protect you. I want to keep you safe and I want to keep you safe from all your holistic stuff.’ said Todd. Dirk turned around so he could look at his boyfriend. ‘That is so cute why are you like this?’ said Dirk. ‘Because I love you. And I got to protect the things I love.’ said Todd. Dirk smiled and his cheeks turned red. ‘I love you too.’ said Dirk and he kissed Todd on his nose and turned around again so Todd could wrap his arms around Dirk.
Imagine 2 – “Dirk you can let go now.” “No, never!”
Todd had been away with Amanda to visit their parents. Dirk had spend a lot of time with Farah, but it wasn’t the same as spending time with Todd. Dirk understood very well Todd wanted to see his parents, but he couldn’t help to feel sad that Todd wasn’t with him. He couldn’t cuddle with him in the morning, he couldn’t laugh with him about their silly jokes, he couldn’t drink coffee with him, he couldn’t have dinner with him. But what Dirk missed more than all of that was that Todd wasn’t there to kiss him on his forehead and he wasn’t there to hug him. Dirk missed Todd so much but luckily Todd came back today. Farah could be here any minute and they’d go to the airport to pick up Todd and Amanda. Dirk was just putting on his jacket when the door bell rang. Dirk opened the door to see Farah. ‘Hi Farah!’ Dirk said happily. ‘Hey Dirk, you ready?’ said Farah. ‘Of course.’ said Dirk and he followed Farah to her car. When they arrived at the airport, Dirk was very happy and very nervous. Only a couple more minutes until he’d see Todd again. Farah and Dirk waited a while when Todd and Amanda finally arrived. As soon as Dirk saw Todd, he ran up to him and wrapped his arms around Todd, hugging him tight. ‘I missed you. I’m so glad you’re back.’ said Dirk. ‘I love you too.’ said Todd as Dirk was still holding on to Todd. ‘Uh- Dirk? Dirk you can let go now.’ said Todd. ‘No, never!’ said Dirk. ‘No, honey, seriously it’s getting a little awkward.’ said Todd. Dirk removed his head from Todd’s neck and looked at him. ‘I love you.’ said Dirk. ‘I love you too.’ said Todd and he kissed Dirk.
Imagine 3 – “I actually like it that you’re so short. I can kiss you anytime I want to and you have to ask me to bend down.”
‘Dirk!’ yelled Todd from the kitchen. ‘Yeah?’ Dirk answered from the living room. ‘I want some coffee but I can’t reach it, can you get it for me?’ said Todd. Dirk smiled and walked into the kitchen. He looked at Todd and kept on smiling as he got the coffee from the highest kitchen cupboard. ‘Thanks.’ said Todd as Dirk gave him the coffee. ‘Why are you still smiling?’ said Todd. ‘I actually like it that you’re so short. I can kiss you anytime I want to and you have to ask me to bend down.’ said Dirk. ‘That’s not fair! I can’t help it that you’re so tall! You know I want to be taller!’ said Todd. Dirk kissed Todd on the top of his head. ‘I don’t want you to be tall. As I said, I actually like it.’ said Dirk. ‘You’re mean!’ said Todd. ‘Want me to bend down?’ joked Dirk. ‘No!’ said Todd and he stood on his toes and kissed Dirk on his cheek. Dirk laughed and hugged Todd.
Imagine 4 – “Can we just take a day off?” “Like a lazy Sunday?” “Yes, like a lazy Sunday.”
Dirk had been working on the new case all week. Todd had been worried about him because he never seemed to take a moment of free time. Dirk was sitting on the couch, thinking about the case and Todd sat down next to him and laid his head on Dirk’s shoulder. Dirk said nothing and continued thinking about the case. ‘Dirk? I know you have a case but can we just take a day off?’ said Todd. ‘A day off? Like a lazy Sunday?’ said Dirk a bit confused. ‘Yes, like a lazy Sunday.’ said Todd. ‘But I have the case, Todd.’ said Dirk. ‘I know, Dirk, I know you’re working on a case but you’ve worked non-stop on it for the past week. You need to take a break.’ said Todd. ‘You think so?’ said Dirk. ‘Yes, I think you should.’ said Todd. ‘Well tomorrow it’s Sunday, why don’t we make tomorrow into a lazy Sunday?’ said Dirk. ‘I’d love that.’ said Todd and Dirk kissed Todd on his forehead. ‘A lazy Sunday it is.’ said Dirk. And so that Sunday was their lazy day. Dirk woke up at 9 am and he wanted to get up but Todd pulled him back on the bed. ‘The whole point about a lazy Sunday is that you stay in bed to do nothing.’ said Todd. ‘It’s been a while since I had a lazy Sunday.’ said Dirk and Todd smiled. ‘Come here.’ said Todd and Dirk laid down next to him and they cuddled for a while before they got up. Todd made Dirk breakfast and while they ate it Todd enjoyed Dirk’s presence. The rest of the day they watched Netflix while lying on the couch. Todd was really happy when he noticed that halfway through the day Dirk had fallen asleep with his head on Todd’s shoulder. He enjoyed the fact that Dirk finally wasn’t working but that he was just relaxing. When Dirk fell asleep on Todd’s shoulder, Todd realized that Dirk was the happiest when he was with Todd. And it made Todd happy that he was the one who could make Dirk happy, that’s why Todd loved Dirk so much.

okay first of all their relationship would be so cute

so it started with their friendship
(Dirk basically picked Todd as his friend so what choice did he have)
but after a while Todd would actually start to see Dirk as a friend
and Dirk would be SO happy about them actually being friends
the longer they were friends, the more things they’d do together
Farah and Amanda thinking Dirk and Todd are more than “just friends”
because they do everything together
Dirk and Todd denying it
but after a while Dirk realizes that he wants to be more than “just friends” with Todd
but he is too shy to tell him
when he’s finally going to tell Todd about his feelings Todd is first
and Dirk never expected that
because Dirk thought Todd would just want to be friends
but when Dirk went to Todd’s apartment he saw that Todd just came out of the apartment
‘Dirk, hi.’ ‘Hi Todd.’ ‘Are you okay? You seem a little nervous.’ ‘I-I wanted to talk to you about something.’ ‘I was just on my way to talk to you.’ ‘You were?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘O-Okay.’ ‘Why don’t we say it at the same time?’ ‘I-I don’t think that’s a good idea, Todd.’ ‘Dirk how bad can it be? We’re friends right?’ ‘Yes we are.’ ‘I’ll count down. 3.. 2.. 1.. I love you.’ ‘I love you.’
they’d stare at each other
because they just don’t believe it.
‘Y-You love me?’ ‘I have loved you ever since I met you, Todd.’
Dirk would cry
and Todd would run up to Dirk and hug him tight
Dirk was surprised
but he’d hug Todd back after a while
‘Please don’t cry Dirk, it’s okay.’
after that moment, everyone was allowed to know that Dirk and Todd were now dating
Farah and Amanda are so excited they’re finally together
Dirk would move in with Todd
(after they cleaned up the apartment and bought a new door and new windows)
the two of them would be so happy that they’re waking up next to each other every day
Dirk sometimes had nightmares
and if he did, Todd would make pancakes for breakfast
holding hands on their way to the car
singing along with the radio
having sleepovers with Farah and Amanda
A LOT of laughing too much
Dirk would kiss Todd on his forehead all. the. time.
Dirk taking Todd shopping to buy him all kinds of jackets
having matching jackets
having matching sweaters which say ‘I’m his’ and ‘He is mine’
Dirk calling Todd ‘love’ all the time
Dirk blushing when Todd tells him how much he loves him

DGHDA is one of the best TV series I’ve ever seen. Even though it is very painful to watch if you know what I mean. Yay for random rhymes.
Imagine Todd shivering on the ride home because he’d fallen
into some body of water, and Dirk giving Todd his jacket to keep him warm. When
this doesn’t work enough, Dirk wraps his arms around Todd to keep his assisfriend warm,
completely oblivious of what it looks like to everyone else.
(Note: Dirk’s probably not
going to be driving if they’re in a car, considering he’s cuddling Todd.)
