i’m sorry i just can never get over this panel

at what point did doctor doom decide to there needed to be version of ‘all you need is love’ replacing love with doom? was he just listening to the song one day and got inspired to do his own cover about himself? did he like the tune but got worried if someone heard him listening to a song about love he’d get kicked out of the supervillains’ league so he needed to change the words? or was it just an overzealous fan who sent him a gift?

i mean clearly he loves the song so much he wants to play on the jukebox in his evil lair while he’s alone but. i feel like there’s just. so much more to this story i need to know.

Loki, God of Stories: *writing the next comic about himself to drop off at Marvel’s doorstep, like an abandoned baby he’s entrusting the company to care for*

Thor, leaning over Loki’s shoulder to see what he’s doing: What are you working on Loki? Another tragic play about your life?

Loki: I write sins, not tragedies

“verity willis should return,” i say into the microphone.

the crowd cheers, but the group of of marvel staff remains indifferent. i begin to walk off in shame, when a voice speaks and commands silence from the room.

“they’re right.” i look around for the owner of the voice. there in the 5th row stands: the god of stories, Loki themself.
