i think there should be AU’s and then there should be UA’s

because Universe Alterations would be a good name for when your characters are in the exact same universe but you’re altering just a couple of plot points or a few character traits

EVERYONE WE ALL NEED TO MAKE THIS A THING

GOD THIS WOULD MAKE SHIT SO MUCH EASIER

guys. GUYS. THAT SHOULD TOTALLY BE A THING GUYS

So, UA is for things like “Everything is the same except” while AU is for “complete alterations of the way the setting and characters work”?

I can dig it.

YES

The theory behind my adoptables, actually! “Everything’s the same except ___”

I like this. I might try to start using it ^_^

the appeal of buzzfeed unsolved is that it’s not just a wacky believer and a strait-laced skeptic bc the skeptic is much weirder as a person than the believer. obviously the classic scully/mulder dynamic is very entertaining but there’s just something about a man who firmly does not believe in ghosts but does believe that it’s ok to eat a pickle floating in a pond “if it’s fresh”

I was checking out at Walmart, and as I was reaching for my bags I said, “Happy Holidays!”
And the cashier leaned in like she was sharing a secret and said “Merry Christmas.”
So I smiled politely and said, “Blessed Yule!”
And the look that spread across her face, you would have thought I’d literally stolen Christmas from her.

If you’re going to make a point of wishing me a happy whatever-you-celebrate, I’m going to make a point of wishing you a happy whatever-I-celebrate, and if you think that’s wrong you should consider getting “hypocrite” tattooed across your forehead.

It’s that time of year again

A post I made has officially become an “it’s that time of year again” post and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t honored

Seriously though where the fuck was Thor intending to put the surviving Asgardians after Ragnarok??? Did he just expect to come down to Norway, introduce Korg to the humans and then be on his merry way? Where do you put thousands of Vikings??

nvm I worked out his plan

Hey CNN are you okay??

What’s happening now??

They’re not wrong you guys are just mean/the loudest minority of Furry culture is the worst and is not representative of furries as a whole

I’m adding, yall remember when people tried to GAS a hotel of furries.

Yall remember how most of them are harmless doofs that just wanna have fun and raise money for charity.

Yall remember how at Genericon IN MY STATE a bunch of furries at the rave stopped COLLEGE STUDENTS FROM THE CAMPUS FROM KIDNAPPING MINORS FROM SAID CONVENTION

Look there’s a lot of bad parts, that’s unavoidable with a Fandom that massive, but there’s a lot of good too and we need to stop judging fandoms by their worst.

Preach

They also pay fairly for commission work, support art and artists, and have taken concrete measures, far more than many other subcultures, to aggressively eject neo-nazis from their community.

I mean, I don’t have to like or understand the sexual component, but it’s also none of my business.  So I’m cool with them on the basis of that other stuff.

I actually personally know a fair number of furries. I work with at least a few. One is a good friend and we hang out regularly.

The sex thing is a little creepy to me, NGL, but some of my sex stuff is creepy to the few that have had those discussions with me. (Not in any sort of flirting or “wanna bang” type of way, but more of a “hey, I was curious about…” type of way.)

But honestly? They’re some of the most awesome people I’ve ever met. Most of them are big into charities, they firmly believe in paying well for the work they have done – whether its an art-type commission or regular job-type work, and have incredibly diverse interests.
