The one from Thor 2011 just looks more regal and otherworldly.
Seriously, his costumes in Ragnarok and IW are just … not good. On the left you can see how the costume was designed to fit the actor like a second skin, lavishly embellished. The one on the right looks like a cheap unshapely halloween costume made from PVC.
I mean it’s still Tom Hiddleston and it’s really hard to make such a good-looking man look bad, but dear god were they trying.
And don’t get me started on the fact that in Ragnarok they took away his iconic colours to give them to another character …
Yes! Look at the drastic differences, from incredibly beautiful and detailed, to almost zero detail, like they did with his character. They took everything away from him.

His costumes from Thor 1 actually look like something a Viking god price would wear. His custom from Ragnarok looks like a vinyl suit you might find in a costume shop. Like lokiloveforever said, the parallel between his stripped down and cheapened outfit with his stripped down and cheapened characterization is uncanny.

Also, when facing Hela the first time, he summoned his Asgardian outfit without any armor. That didn’t make any sense whatsoever.

I hated IW and Ragnarok’s costume, but I aso don’t like the Thor 1 costume, it looks like a freaking onesie with golden back braces. If you ask me, best one was TDW.

What if we never saw that deleted scene because it’s not a deleted scene . What if this is a flashback when we will see how Loki made a deal with Héla so he can never die since when he will come back in Avengers 4. Because he will right ?
Holy shit. And I remember how people on set that day were not allowed anywhere near enough to hear the two characters’ dialogue because they were told it was extremely spoilery. I always wondered how spoilery and important something could be if it was cut from the film, but perhaps you’re right and it wasn’t actually cut, but something we have yet to see. It would make sense for them to have filmed such a scene for Avengers 4 while filming Ragnarok, rather than later, since both actors were already there in costume and the set wouldn’t have needed to be recreated.

But what did he give her in return?
In the comics he tricks her to erase his name from the Book of Hel, so he can never truly die and can be reborn after death.
I don’t remember the trade off or how exactly he got her to do it. She was his daughter in the comics so it must have been easier to manipulate her emotionally, maybe he’ll pull a “but i’m your baby brother” card 🤔
