-Sam isn’t comfortable with public displays of affection, so any gestures of intimacy when they’re around other people are discreet – mainly holding hands under tables, and no kissing.
-Sam comes to learn that when they are in public and Frodo squeezes his hand hard enough then Frodo is distressed by something and needs to get away, at least to a separate room where he can de-stress.
-Sam loves when people play with his hair, Frodo especially. Frodo is always so gentle, making sure not to get his fingers tangled in Sam’s curls, and his strokes are soft and slow enough to lull Sam to sleep.
-FOREHEAD TOUCHES. Frodo will usually cup his hands around Sam’s face when intiating the forehead touch, and Sam usually grips the back of Frodo’s head when initiating.
-It isn’t uncommon for Sam to fall asleep with his head on Frodo’s chest. The sound of Frodo’s heartbeat can lull Sam to sleep, and Frodo loves pressure stimming, so it’s a win-win.
-They love to cuddle. They could happily spend hours in each other’s arms. Oftentimes one of them falls asleep with his head on the other’s shoulder. That someone is usually Frodo.
-Frodo’s shoulder is highly sensitive to the touch, but for some reason when Sam touches his shoulder it almost never hurts.
-Sam’s touch cannot bring Frodo out of an episode, but it can calm him down afterwards.
-Frodo’s hugs are the only ones that Sam will always welcome.
my favorite picture ever is the one that says “HELL IS FULL, BITCH” and then it has the national suicide prevention hotline on it. it makes me smile every time
